Hallowe’en has forever held a special place in my heart.
As a true Libra baby, I adore the month of October in general & thrive as Spooky Season™ really kicks in come Oct 1st. Give me falling leaves, crisp mornings & fireside reading: thank you thank you.
For the last few years, dressing up as a family has really been a thing of joy. With Anton more on board than ever, last year I reached out via Instagram for some professional assistance, as I was keen to up the looks & push the boundaries of what I could do solo…Need I say more? If you were blessed to see Anton living his best life as Bram Stoker’s Dracula, I am thrilled for you. If not, please do enjoy.
It was during this outreach that I met the delightful Grace. A professional [ACTUAL Emmy award winning] Hair & Make-Up Artist, she too shares my love of creating looks – Halloween included. It is entirely to her credit that this project took off: she messaged me asking if I would be interested in doing 31 days of Halloween…Can’t deny I thought this a joke at first.
A move to Prague later on her part for work [yes, she has balanced this ENTIRE project of madness whilst living in another country] various unexpected [less desirable tbh] incidents this year, we opted to change the scale of the project to 13 days. For our sanity to remain somewhat intact, I’m thankful we did.
Not only do I love the number 13 generally, but it has the perfect spooky-unlucky undertones – and of course is 31 flipped: winner winner chicken dinner.

13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN [#sammiween – really debated this but it’s making me smile] launched yesterday: October 1st.
Our first creation was the iconic Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice. We filmed this back in July: most have been more recent, but some we have yet to do…
Every look has been meticulously planned & Grace has created an incredible document for each look for us to refer to. The wigs have all been put together with her immense talent [she is posting BTS of these too: you can follow her here] & have travelled in various items [even a flower pot] from Prague to England.

We have 12 more looks to come.
Some of these have been ‘Grace-Sammi-ified’, some are more like the particular character. The dream of this project is that we can do.what.we.like 🙂 #sammiween will be spaced across the month, with the finale most likely the 29th/30th, before the big day itself. Would love for you to follow along.
This has been such a joy to work on [you know how I feel Grace – you have been beyond the best] & I hope it fills you with some spark for Spooky Season™, too.
Any guesses for upcoming looks? Would love to hear what you think could be coming – leave any thoughts in the comments.
spooky wishes,
