v is for valentine

Although Anton & I are not a couple to necessarily do anything major for Valentine’s day, I am truly a big lover of love & feel the world needs as much of it as it can get. Whilst Valentine’s can very much be seen as a solely commercial enterprise, I do also like to think of it as a time to remember why we love the person/people we do.

It likely goes without saying that I don’t need much of an excuse for a great outfit.

Nothing quite hits the v-day date-night vibe like a little red dress.

With a deep-v cut, fabric covered buttons and billowing sleeves, in the most intense shade of red with floral print detail. Ofc I felt the need to edge this look up a little with the latest bold Ārdēo harness, launching this month in black leather with silver or brass hardware.

Honing in on a forever favourite: an all black look in mixed black textures.

The tulle of the strapless mini dress juxtaposes the oversized latex jacket, giving an androgynous edge to the look. I would love this with heavy platform boots – just as much as I like the idea of it with patent Louboutin heels or these sparkly ballet flats.

Mesh is a fabric I love to layer, but it looks equally incredible & alluring worn alone.

I love how this fabric feels against the skin and how it moves. Granted it’s hardly winter-appropriate; but if you have the opulence of being in a strictly car-to-venue situ, add an oversized coat & think warm thoughts. Each look has been finished with this bold matte red lip.
