At the moment, it’s just under the “Channel” section on my IG, however I will post updates here too to connect the two. It’s just a great way to communicate quick bits + photos & create a community, but if you’re living an IG free life it should certainly still be possible just to follow the blog & know what we’re reading via this

I just celebrated my 49th birthday and have always been an avid reader. I’m a fan and when you said book club I was excited to join. I’m currently working a booth at a tattoo convention selling merch for my sweetheart and downloaded the book on my phone. It is a great first pick!

I am stoked!!! I have ordered my books Lovely favorites list! As a matter of fact, I just finished Dracula last month and I loved it. Especially how it wrapped up. But Dear Sammi, will TDS be exclusively on IG? I may have to join it again after a beautiful ten year break! TDS sounds fun and I’m willing to join again, just thought I’d ask since I really love your blog format and how it’s just yours. Thank you and I am so excited to get started!

Best way to join the pre-club chat is to start with a few of the books that I have connected with deeply over the past few years. I also loved Three Women, but a few others include North Woods by Daniel Mason; I who have never know men by Jacqueline Harper; Know my Name by Chanel Miller; The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey; Men Who Hate Women by Laura Bates; Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan; the Road by Cormac McCarthy; and The First Fifteen Loves of Harry August by Claire North.

My favourite books are the ones I can’t leave behind, that stay with me and poke at my brain and make me come back to them over and over again. I read so many books that are fast, comfort reads, like cozy mysteries. But the truly special ones pop up randomly in my head and I lose time when I drop into memories of them.

Looking forward to TDS (and I too was blasting NIN on the way to work, though today it was With Teeth.

I’ve always wanted to join a bookclub but always felt a bit insecure about not reading the ‘right’ kind of book or having the ‘right’ kind of thoughts ans opinions but I am really looking forward to this!
